Join us for the 2019 ALA Chicago Holiday Party (Members Only) on the Chicago Elite!

ALA Chicago is pleased to invite you to its Annual Holiday Party on Wednesday, December 4th from 4:30 – 7:00 PM. We are changing things up a bit this year – consider it a little Christmas cheer from your ALA Board of Directors.

Please join us at Navy Pier aboard the Chicago Elite. The party will start dockside at 4:30PM. There will be fantastic food, drink and entertainment to enjoy. At approx. 6:00PM* the Chicago Elite will take a short cruise on Lake Michigan so you can enjoy the beautiful holiday skyline from the lake! We will be back dockside by 7:00PM so that everyone can get back to their trains.**

*For those that do not wish to cruise, we will give you plenty of time to depart prior to that final whistle blowing.

**Transportation from Navy Pier to train stations will be available as needed.

Event Schedule:

4:30 - 5:45 PM: Party dockside

5:45 - 6:00 PM: All ashore going ashore! Transportation to train stations will be available as needed.

6:00 - 7:00 PM: Cruise Lake Michigan

7:00 PM: Farewell & Happy Holidays! Transportation to train stations will be available as needed.

Charity Information:

This year, ALA Chicago is partnering with My Block * My Hood * My City to help light up 200 homes and nearly 800 street poles from McCormick Place to 115th St., that’s 11.5 miles!

To help teenagers overcome the poverty and isolation they face, boosting educational attainment and opening them to opportunities that make a difference in their lives.
My Block * My Hood * My City provides underprivileged youth with an awareness of the world and opportunities beyond their neighborhood. Throughout the year, they take students on explorations focused on STEM, Arts & Culture, Citizenry & Volunteerism, Health, Community Development, Culinary Arts, and Entrepreneurism.

Seeing The City in a Different Light, A Positive Light Instead of a Negative Light. There's always a positive and negative perspective. The explorers club sheds a positive light on Chicago, while encouraging teens to view their roles in their own smaller communities in a positive light.

Be The Light during this holiday season by helping them light up the darkest streets on the South Side of Chicago. My Block * My Hood * My City takes both monetary donations and specific supplies and decorations from an Amazon Wish List. Spread some holiday cheer and light this holiday season and donate today!
