The Holidays Aren't "Happy" for Everyone:  Awareness of the Troubled Employee

How often do we hear, “I’m so stressed,” during a day in the office.  But what do people actually mean when they say this?  Do they mean, “I have a ton of work today,” or do they mean “I can’t carry on another day—I’m ready to crack.”  If it’s the first, this is a fairly normal hurdle to face.  However, the second meaning needs to be treated with more caution.  A stressed worker effects productivity, morale, and has the potential of creating an unsafe environment for everyone.  Further, the holidays can increase feelings of stress or depression.  How can administrators get ahead of this and pick up on those tell-tale signs that there may be something to address?  What resources can firms provide to help employees deal with stress and maintain emotional wellness?    Our guest speaker, David Pawlowski, is the Vice President of Administration for the EAP company CuraLinc Healthcare.  CuraLinc provides clients with employee assistance through behavioral health and wellness programs that have a measurable impact on the well-being, engagement, productivity and emotional fitness of  employees.  David is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with 19 years of experience in the mental health field.  Join us on the 11th and learn about compassionate leadership, how to recognize warning signs, and the tools available to us to offer assistance and a path forward for our employees.

Lunch will be provided.

While we hope to see everyone in person, we will also have a call-in option for those that would like to attend remotely. Remote attendees should register using the CALL-IN registration option.
