DESCRIPTION:         Vedder Price is hiring a HR Manager.  The HR manager will be reporting to the Chief Human Resources officer, this firm-wide position will provide day-to day HR direction and support to managers and administrative staff.  Responsibilities include the overall planning, management and administration of employment needs, including but not limited to policy administration and interpretation, employee relations, coaching and counseling in the areas of performance management and conflict resolution, onboarding and integration efforts, administration of  compensation and evaluation processes as well as management of various record-keeping systems. In addition, the HR Manager will ensure compliance with the firm’s policies, procedures and business conduct as well as federal, state and local regulations. Desired Skills and Experience The successful candidate will have demonstrated leadership skills, a proactive and self-directed approach to managing multiple projects, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Bachelor’s degree from a 4 year college or university, plus a minimum of 6 years directly related experience required.  Demonstrated success in a mid to large size professional services organization strongly preferred.
